This beautiful family returned for me to document baby number 2, their second baby girl! While they knew exactly what to expect from the HAP experience, I realized many new parents do not know what all goes into getting these sweet baby poses!
During your newborn photo session, I will work with the baby and the parents to create a comfortable and safe environment for the baby. Here are some common steps that may occur during a newborn photo session….
Set up and preparation: I will usually start by setting up half an hour to your start time. I set-up equipment and prepare the space for the photo shoot. This may involve adjusting lighting, choosing props and backdrops, and ensuring that the temperature in the room is warm enough for the baby. It is important to return your questionnaire which has color requests so that I know what types of images you are looking for!
Baby positioning: I will then work with the baby to position them in various poses and positions, such as on their back, stomach, or side. I will use blankets, wraps, and other props to help keep the baby comfortable and secure during the shoot. The great thing about a studio session with HAP is that we have absolutely everything needed to accomplish these images!
Photographing: I will then start taking photographs of the baby, capturing a range of images from different angles and perspectives. I aim to capture every angle, every detail and any expressions your little one shows off!
Parent and family shots: These are some of my favorite images during newborn sessions! I truly enjoy taking photographs of the baby with their parents and siblings, creating beautiful family portraits that capture the joy and love of the new family.
Editing and post-processing: After the shoot, I will spend time editing and post-processing the images to enhance their quality and create a polished finished product! You will receive a proof gallery to select your favorite images from which will also give you to option to purchase additional images if you’d like.
